Alva has received a BIG SEE Product Design Award 2026. The BIG SEE awards are organised in Ljubljana and each year look at architecture and design from Southeast Europe.
Alva is a round pendant with a matt surface that looks and feels like wood. It is made of a biopolymer mixed with 30% recycled wood, in dark wood, walnut and natural tones. The sides are perforated like a fine mesh and the bottom is open. Most of the light falls through the opening onto the table below; the rest passes through the perforations and leaves a pattern of light and shadow on the wall and ceiling.
Each shade is printed to order in our Istanbul studio. Alva hangs over dining tables, kitchen islands and restaurant tables.
